Waiting for summer

Hi guys thanks for stopping by. I know it's been forever since my last outfit post, but I swear I'm back & I will be updating it more often. Also I will try to post links for the items I use, but if I can't find them I will always tell you where I got them from.

Shorts: Target, Shirt: Papaya, Shoes: Forever21, Purse: Forever21, Jewelry: Forever21

First thing I want to say is that I LOVE the color mint. I'm currently obsessed with it so when I saw these shorts I definitely had to buy them. The shorts are actually the item that inspired this look. I thought they were cute, affordable, & I love the lace (or crochet) detail on the side. I found these at target for $19.99. I found the link at Target.com for the shorts, but it says they are sold out. I know you can definitely find them in stores because I saw them at oakridge mall just yesterday.

Moving on to my top. I decided to go with this crochet crop top because I thought it would go well with the lace design on the shorts. It was extremely affordable costing only $13.99. Here is the link: http://www.papayaclothing.com/shop/goods_detail_v1.php?goodsIdx=22857

Last are my accessories. Besides the color mint, I also have an obsession with purses/clutches with chains. I guess that explains why buying this purse was a must. I didn't get this too long ago at forever21, but I doubt they still have it. You can always add any purse. For my jewelry I didn't add too much. Kept it simple with an owl necklace & just a simple bracelet that I also got from forever21. Oh, I almost forgot. So the nail polish I'm wearing I got at H&M. I only applied two light coats & it was very bright & pretty. If you get a chance check out their nail polish. They are worth buying & they have awesome colors.

Okay guys this was my look for the day...actually this was my look for this past Sunday, but I was totally lagging it when it came down to posting it. I will be working on another look this Friday so I will make sure I post it much faster this time :) bye bye.

Studded

Hello & welcome back to my page :) I must say that I'm totally in love with today's ootd. I'm doing my best to come up with different styles every week so that there's a variety of looks. This weeks look is a lot edgier than my last two outfits & so far its my favorite. Enjoy.

For this weeks look I decided to go with something that's pretty popular right now, which is why I  went with a dark forest green shirt. Obviously this color is in right now so if you don't want to copy this exact look you can always find similar items.

My top is pretty simple, but I really liked the fake pocket that is located on the top left side & the small studs on the side arm area. This shirt is currently available at Forever21 for $15.99

For the bottoms I went with black leather shorts because the shirt also had a little bit of leather on the pocket. I'm not sure how the shorts will feel on hotter days since leather makes you sweat, but for today I didn't feel any discomfort. The shorts are also pretty simple, but the detail of the small studs on the bottom sides make them so much cuter. I added a thin belt with small gold dots just because I tucked my shirt in & I didn't want it to look extremely plain. The shorts are also currently available at Forever21 for $19.99.

Finally my favorite part of this look are my accessories. I say favorite because I feel like its what made this look appear much edgier. I have such tiny wrists so I get really excited when I find bracelets that fit me. I was lucky to find these bracelets for this look at Forever21 & the watch came from Charlotte Russe. I'm not much of an earring person, but I fell in love with these black cross earrings. The handbag also came from Forever21. In fact, my entire outfit came from Forever21...minus the shoes. The shoes I bough at the Steve Madden store a long time ago, but you can add any shoes you like.

Keep checking in for my next post :)

Day & Night Look

Hi ladies. First off, my name is Miriam & I want to thank you for stopping by my page. I decided to make a fashion blog because I get inspired by so many different things. & what better way to express yourself than to dress out loud right? Anyway, I really
hope you keep visiting my page. Enjoy :)

For my first blog post, I wanted to do something that gets you a little more for your money. That's how I came up with a "Day & Night Look". I basically took one simple dress & came up with two different looks.

Look #1: The Day Look

Dress:Papaya, Boots:Papaya, Necklace:Forever21

For the first look, I thought I'd go with something casual that can be worn through out the day. For that reason I paired the dress up with a denim vest, a small braided belt, & some cowboy boots. I didn't want to accessorize much for this look because sometimes I feel like keeping it casual means keeping it simple. Therefore, I only added a heart necklace to keep it from looking extremely plain.

Look #2: The Night Look
Shoes:Forever21, Clutch:Papaya, Belt:Forever21

For the second look, which happens to be my favorite, I went with a dressy look that can be used for a night out. To accomplish the dressy look I paired the dress up with a gold bow belt, a gold brass knuckles clutch, & some beautiful gold heels. I also added a few bracelets & a pearl necklace. Like I said before, the dress is really plain so I added more accessories to have the dress stand out a bit more.

So that's it for this look. I really hope you guys liked it. I do want to apologize for the quality of my pictures. I did the best I could, but I don't have a good camera at the moment so I used a camera phone. Plus I kept getting horrible lighting :/ I definitely need to buy a camera to avoid this problem for future posts. Again, thank you for your time & support. Feel free to leave a comment.
